The last two months flew by for Catherine. She and Vincent have been married a week now. Some of her things have been moved Below to their chamber. The others were in storage Above. Catherine has never been happier being married to a wonderful man who loves her with all his heart. She is still working but a desk job three times a week. She had told Joe she was getting married and wanted to spend more time with her husband. He understood but has told her he cannot wait to meet him. She would always say "one day Joe you will I promise”.
To this day, he wonders why Catherine has kept him a secret for almost three years.
Their second week of marriage Vincent was called away. There had been a small leak in one of the lower tunnels and he was needed there. Catherine got the message later in the day that the tunnel had caved in and Vincent and some of the other men had been trapped. Frantically they tried everything to get them out. None of Mouse’s "devices” helped and Catherine had to make a quick decision. Only one person could help her Elliot Burch. She had not spoken to him for over a year. The nightmare she had was still in her mind. Vincent assured her that it will fade in time. Well I must put these thoughts out of my mind Vincent needs me now. She asked Mouse to escort her Above.
She arrived at Elliot’s office shaken and upset. He asked her what was wrong.? She said she needed him desperately. After he read her list of items, he gave them to her. When she was on her way out of his office he said "Catherine you owe me for this one. Elliot you never change do you. I will see you later and she left.
Arriving back at the tunnels, they worked long and hard. Finally they were able to blow up the cave in and the men were saved. Catherine told Vincent "I have never been more scared in my life. I thought I was losing the best part of myself. Vincent told her "Catherine my love you will never lose me and they share a kiss.
After the men were checked by father they returned to their chambers. Catherine and Vincent spent the rest of the day in each other arms. The situation earlier made them realize how beautiful life is.
Two days later Catherine was above and received a message from Elliot. Meet me at my office 6:00 this evening. Why does he want to see me said Catherine? Probably because of the favor he did for me. Well I had better go see him to put this behind me. Vincent was working late so he would not be home until around 9pm. She left work at 5:30 and went to see Elliot. When she got to his office he said Catherine come in. and have seat. Elliot what is it? I am on my way home. I only came cause you asked. Sitting beside her on the couch. Catherine, I have missed you. Do you know I will always love you. Elliot we have been through this before. We cannot be together. There is someone else in my life. But Catherine grabbing her in his arms is he better than me, can he give you what I can? Elliot please let me go. No Catherine. I will prove to you that you belong to me. Elliot what are you talking about? This and he captured her lips in a kiss. Pulling away no Elliot don’t do this. Why Cathy? We did more than this when we were dating. Elliot we never had a sexual relationship only a few kisses. I know so we must make up for lost time. No Elliot. Cathy began to fight him but he would not stop kissing and caressing her. He continued to kiss her so she could not speak. She tried. Than she felt his begin to remove her panty hose and bit his lip. Before she could scream he placed his hand over her mouth. No you don’t and she felt her undergarments tear. She kept fighting him, her nightmare was coming true, why? Than she felt Elliot raise her dress and began caressing her legs, her hips and placed his hand beneath her. He removed his hand from her mouth and replaced it with his lips to keep her quiet while he unzipped his pants. He was ready for Catherine and she was defenseless. She did not want Vincent to come to her to risk his life. She had to keep the Bond closed. Elliot returned his hand to her mouth and began talking to her. Yes Catherine you will be mine. You owe me. He raised himself Above her to take what he felt was his and began to caress her waist . Yes Cathy I can wait no longer to have you and was about to take her when he stopped. Oh my god, and he moved away. Catherine quickly lowered her dress and jumped off the couch. Cathy what is this and he touched her stomach. I am pregnant Elliot with my husband’s child. I told you it was over between us. How dare you attempt to rape me. I knew you could not be trusted. Had I not been pregnant you would have assaulted me. Elliot I never want to see you again, DO YOU HERE ME. I will keep this between us. But if you ever try to contact me again, I will not be accountable for my husband's actions. And she left his office.
Catherine ran from Elliot’s office and to the tunnels. She needed to get to their chamber before someone saw her. She needed to wash up and change. She wanted Elliot’s touch off of her. She arrived at their chamber grabbed clean clothes and went to the falls. She spent about a half hour soaking Elliot's touch off her body. As she was washing up she began to cry. Not realizing it, she left the Bond open. Vincent came to the falls as quickly as he could and saw her crying in the water. Removing his clothes as fast as he could he went to her, Catherine my love taking her in his arms what’s the matter? On Vincent, Elliot called me. I went to see him. He said I owed him for getting the things I needed to save you and the others from the cave-in.. Vincent, crying harder, he almost raped me. She felt him finch and his anger started to emerge. Vincent please he didn’t. Just hold me please. He didn’t hurt me . He was caressing me and felt my stomach swollen with our child and he left me alone. Catherine I felt none of this why? Vincent I couldn’t let you risk your life. Oh Catherine, holding her close let me help you.? He ever so gently began to wash her. Kissing her as he did. Talking to her. Catherine I love you. You are safe now. Vincent, I need you right now. I need your tender loving to rid my mind of this. Taking his Catherine in his arms, he carried her to the side of the Falls and made sweet, tender love to her. After he loved her she said Vincent I love you so and she cried herself to sleep in his loving arms.
